From late December 2025, after the rollout of an image-editing feature, Grok on X generated sexualized edits of photos of real women at users' request (prompts such as "put her in a bikini" or "remove her clothes"). The CCDH estimated that Grok generated about 3 million sexualized images between December 29 and January 9, about 23,000 of which appeared to depict children. Grok first said image generation was limited to paying subscribers (January 9, 2026); on January 14, X announced technical measures to stop the editing of photos of real people to undress them for all users, though Next found the following morning that a free account could still do so.
Response: Asked by AFP, xAI sent an automated reply: "Legacy Media Lies".
On the Joe Rogan Experience, released the day Meta said it was halting many of its diversity-focused training and hiring efforts, lamented "culturally neutered" companies that had sought to distance themselves from "masculine energy" and said it is good if a culture "celebrates the aggression a bit more".
“Masculine energy I think is good, and obviously society has plenty of that, but I think that corporate culture was really trying to get away from it”
Response: In the same conversation he said "you want feminine energy, you want masculine energy", that "that's all good", and that "you want women to be able to succeed" in companies.

“We do allow content arguing for gender-based limitations of military, law enforcement, and teaching jobs.”
In the essay "The Education of a Libertarian", cited the extension of the vote to women, together with the growth of welfare beneficiaries, as having turned "capitalist democracy" into an oxymoron.
“Since 1920, the vast increase in welfare beneficiaries and the extension of the franchise to women — two constituencies that are notoriously tough for libertarians — have rendered the notion of "capitalist democracy" into an oxymoron.”
Response: In a later clarification appended to the essay, Thiel wrote: "It would be absurd to suggest that women's votes will be taken away or that this would solve the political problems that vex us. While I don't think any class of people should be disenfranchised, I have little hope that voting will make things better."
